NAPA – Nine out of ten US consumers would buy garments and other products made from next-gen materials, instead of animal- or fossil-based products, according to a new survey.

The poll of more than 1,000 people was part of a new consumer research report produced by the Material Innovation Initiative (MII) and the North Mountain Consulting Group.

It was carried out to gauge interest in new materials made from recycled textiles, plants and algae, mycelium, agricultural waste, programmed microbes and cultivated animal cells.
