ARTEIXO - Spanish fashion brand Zara has linked up with textile recycler Circ to launch what it says is the first ever collection of clothes made with recycled polyester and lyocell separated from blended textile waste.

The collection of womenswear - available across 11 markets from today - is made with textiles derived from breaking down blends of polyester and cotton into new recycled raw materials.

US pioneer Circ claims its patented 'hydrothermal' process - which uses water as a solvent - is the only one so far able to successfully separate polycotton blended textile waste and recover both cellulosic and synthetic fibres.
