PHNOM PENH - A new initiative has been launched to reduce the 140,000 tonnes of textile waste produced by the Cambodian garment industry every year.

The Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) initiative and the German development agency GIZ are recuiting stakeholders for a new pilot project aimed at increasing circularity.

Called 'Circular Fashion Partnership Cambodia', it is part of the Global Circular Fashion Forum (GCFF) to encourage textile manufacturing countries to accelerate and scale recycling of post-industrial textile waste.
